Belmont Lodge has a resident House Manager and staff and there is a 24-hour call system. Residents make breakfast in their own rooms, but lunch and supper are provided in the communal dining room.

A warm Jewish atmosphere is evident, and major festivals are celebrated. A Friday night Kiddush is held with visiting local Rabbis attending when possible.

Residents are invited - and expected - to bring their own furniture in order to retain their familiar surroundings. Each resident has a key to his/her room, and an emergency alarm is installed in each room. The resident House Manager prepares lunch and an evening meal, which are served in the communal dining-room. A Deputy House Manager is on duty when the House Manager has time off, and a regular cleaner is employed.

Visitors are welcome, and may be invited to lunch by prior arrangement with the House Manager. A small charge is payable. Visitors are asked to leave the house by 10 pm.

We continue to support our residents when they become frail, although home nursing cannot be provided. If needed, this can be arranged at the resident's own expense. When extra support becomes necessary, the resident's family (the sponsors) are responsible for arranging suitable alternative accommodation.
