CAMDEN JEWISH SOCIETY

Volunteers

We are all living longer and enjoy a good standard of living. Why shouldn't older people have top-class sheltered accommodation facilities available to them to ensure that their twilight years are spent in comfort & security?

We URGENTLY need your help in all sorts of ways.

You can help us...

  • by volunteering your time and energy to help us.
  • by pledging a donation - any sum would be gratefully received.
  • by considering a bequest in your will.
  • by thinking up ways you can help us!

We have a great need for transport volunteers. A journey of half an hour at the most, once or twice a month, to or from the clubs or health surgeries in the area would be a great mitzvah for our elderly residents who are anxious not to lose their social life outside their Abbeyfield home and who would themselves arrange a taxi for the other part of the journey. We have found that most of their relatives work during the day, and cannot provide transport so if you can help, please contact any of the house secretaries.

    The House Committee

Belmont Lodge is administered by a small committee of volunteers, who are ready to support residents in any way they can, and are responsible for all aspects of running the house. There is also an Executive Committee of Abbeyfield Camden (Jewish) Society, which represents the Society to the national Abbeyfield Society.

The major objective of the house committee is to ensure happy homes where residents can pursue their lives and interests in a companionable atmosphere.
